A New Year and a New Focus

-

2017 was quite a year and I look forward to 2018 with such excitement! The start of a new year provides both individuals and organizations a chance take aim and focus on the opportunities before them.

Here at Little Friends, we’re setting the stakes for a new initiative focused on automating many of the processes necessary to operate an agency of our kind. As one might expect, the documentation required by those who oversee and govern our programs is substantial. Finding and implementing new solutions to streamline administrative activities enables our organization to better spend the majority of our time doing what we’re supposed to do: care for our clients. The coming year will be a year of change and improvement that ultimately will help in every facet of our organization.

While a fair amount of time will be spent improving processes that ultimately help our employees and clients, we know that there is work to do advocating on behalf of our clients’ needs. Many non-profit agencies are wondering what impact the new tax laws will have on charitable contributions. Yet, the needs of those in many organizations like ours have not changed.

Those of us that serve others have a responsibility to let people know about the work that we do. I know firsthand that the work done by those at Little Friends matters. I also believe that while the changes in tax laws may affect some, the majority of people will not be affected and will continue to show the support they made to non-profit agencies.

As a means to directly advocate for people who have special needs, please know that we all appreciate your financial commitment and help. We know that you do it because you believe the work we do is valuable. Please know your work and help matters too!
