Naperville, IL.  The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce (NACC) has named Emily Ory chairman of its Board of Directors. Ory, Account Executive of Corporate Concepts, Inc., will serve a two-year term.

Ory and other new board members will be inaugurated at the 2018 NACC Gala on Fri., Feb. 2 at Abbington Distinctive Banquets.

After eight years of membership, Ory attributes much of her business growth to the Chamber of Commerce as its programs have afforded her the opportunity to develop both professionally and personally.  Her connection to the organization started at a young age.

“Ever since I was a child and my mother, Jan Erickson, worked at the Chamber it was ingrained in me that the Chamber of Commerce was the business hub of the community,” said Ory.  “When I graduated college, and found myself in a business development role, naturally I was eager to not only join the Chamber but become an active, engaged member.”

Her focus throughout her two-year term will be to fulfill the outstanding goals of the current strategic plan and develop the 2025 strategic plan for the organization.  She also hopes to engage and educate Members and the community at large to better understand the diverse benefits of the NACC.

“Through my Chamber membership, I have seen the return on investment time after time. Not only with the business I have received, but I have created life-long friendships and built a circle of trusted advisors I can look to for guidance,” noted Ory.  “For all of these reasons, I found myself wanting to give back and continue to be a part of what makes the Chamber so unique.”
