Naperville Police respond to two armed robberies Monday, one Tuesday

Naperville Police investigate third armed robbery within 24 hours

Naperville PoliceUPDATE, 10:26, Nov. 28, 2017NAPERVILLE, Ill. — On Tuesday, November 28, at approximately 8:30PM, Naperville Police Officers responded to the 7-11 at Diehl and Rt. 59 for the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.  Officers determined two subjects entered the store, one produced a handgun and demanded money.  The suspects fled the scene southbound on foot.  Taken was an undetermined amount of United States Currency.  No one was injured during this incident.

The offenders are described as follows:

Suspect #1 – Male black, approximately 6’, thin build, wearing dark clothing and a mask, with a handgun

Suspect #2 – Male black, approximately 5’8”, medium build, wearing dark clothing.

Naperville PoliceOriginal Post, 5PM, Nov. 28, 2017 / NAPERVILLE, Ill. — The Naperville Police Department is investigating two unrelated reports of armed robberies that occurred on Monday, November 27.

The first reported incident occurred at approximately 9PM in the 1200 block of Hobson Road. Upon arrival, responding officers were informed that the victim and his passenger had just utilized the ATM at the Chase Bank when a male subject, armed with a handgun, jumped in front of the vehicle and motioned for the vehicle to stop. After the victim stopped the vehicle, the suspect entered the vehicle through the rear driver’s-side door and demanded money. The offender then fled the scene on foot. No one was injured in this incident.

The offender is described as a male subject wearing all dark clothing.

The second reported armed robbery occurred at approximately 10PM in the 3300 block of South Route 59. Upon arrival, responding officers learned that the victim, a pizza delivery driver, was approached by a male white offender, who was armed with a handgun and demanded money. The offender then fled the scene on foot to an unknown make sedan. No one was injured in this incident.

The offender in this incident is described as a male white subject, 6 feet tall, thin build, wearing dark clothing.

Anyone with information regarding either of these crimes is encouraged to contact the Naperville Police Department at (630) 420-6666 and ask for the Investigations Division.

NPD reminds residents to be aware, report suspicious individuals

The Naperville Police Department would like to remind residents to be aware of their surroundings at all times and report suspicious individuals or incidents to police immediately. In addition, if ever confronted with an armed offender, the public is encouraged to comply with all demands and not do anything that would jeopardize your personal safety.
