Beginning on Nov. 24, 2017, Naperville Sunrise Rotary’s NaperLights holiday display, now in its fifth year, will make the season even brighter as it joins with Naper Settlement and Christkindlmarket for what promises to be another festive and bustling holiday.

The light display, a gift to the community from the Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise, will feature a growing collection of giant lighted holiday figures including new Illuminated Ice Skaters and large animated displays of Elves and Children building a Giant Snowman.

Animated light displays synchronized to music have been expanded this year to include numerous additional elements as well as talking Christmas trees with ambient holiday music throughout the grounds. Like the Grinch’s heart, the Giant Holiday Tree will grow yet another 8 feet taller to 38 feet this year, making it arguably the largest holiday tree on display in DuPage County. The popular polar bears and sleigh on loan from Brookfield Zoo make the perfect backdrop for holiday photos.

Illumination runs special days Nov. 24 through Dec. 23

NaperLights will be illuminated November 24-December 23,  with hours from 4:30-7PM on Thursdays,  4:30-9PM Fridays through Saturdays and 4:30-6PM on Sundays.

Special Christmas Week hours are 4:30-9PM December 18-23.  Free will donations to support Naperville Sunrise Rotary local and international charitable projects are welcomed.

In addition to Naperlights, Naper Settlement will once again host Christkindlmarket, a traditional European open-air holiday market featuring ornaments, gifts and décor, food, music and traditional mulled wine.  Visit napersettlement.org for more details.

Admission to Christkindlmarket and NaperLights is free.  Parking is available in three municipal lots in Downtown Naperville as well as after hours at the Municipal Center parking lot. Water Street District and Ryan Hill Realty are the Presenting Sponsors of Naper Lights for the fifth season.  NaperLights is produced, in part, by a City of Naperville Special Events and Cultural Amenities Grant.

“We are excited to be partnering on the grounds of Naper Settlement with Christkindlmarket.  It is a perfect marriage with the festive light display creating a beautiful atmosphere and  drawing people from throughout the region to enjoy all that  Downtown Naperville has to offer,” says NaperLights Co-Chair Scott Amundson.   “Sunrise Rotary plans to bring a spectacle that celebrates  the community spirit of giving and  will become  Naperville tradition for many years to come.”
