UPDATE May 7, 2017 / Photographer Jim Hoch reports another successful Honor Flight Fundraiser was held in the Calamos Investments Hanger at the DuPage Airport on May 6, 2017…and he thinks the motorcycle crew of Legion Riders was the largest ever.

“My favorite (photo) was those little boys in their Navy suits. They greeted the vets as they came in, and the veterans ate it up,” added Hoch. “The mother told me the story of their sister who really got into this, has interviewed about 50 WW-II veterans, and is now creating a documentary on what she collected. Ā Very heartening for someone in their teens to have this interest!”

Many members of the American Legion Post 43 and Judd Kendall VFW Post 3873 who also plan the annual Memorial Day Parade every May in downtown Naperville are pictured in Hoch’s photo gallery.

This community is so blessed to have so many Veterans helping Veterans in so many ways.

“It was nice to have the Governor stop by for a visit, and make a donation,” Hoch wrote when he sent the link to the photos he took, now available to see atĀ jameshochphotography.
