Guest night welcomes men to join Holiday Chorus

-

Above / Chorus of DuPage is known to have sung a few bars in perfect harmony on the patio at Quigley’s Irish Pub after Tuesday evening rehearsals at Our Saviour’s. “K-K-K-Quigley’s, beautiful Quigley’s! You’re the only p-p-p-pub that I adore…” (PN File Photo)

Men of all ages who love to sing are invited to join the Chorus of DuPage during their guest night on Tues., Oct. 10, 2017.

Harmony-loving men are invited also to perform with the chorus at their upcoming holiday concerts where they will sing traditional secular and religious holiday selections. The Chorus of Du Page is a men’s chorus that has performed for over 50 years in and around Du Page County singing a cappella in four-part barbershop style.

Above / Chorus of DuPage welcomes men to experience four-part harmony for the 2017 holiday concert season.

“Singing with the chorus is easy, even if one has never sung barbershop or sung a cappella music before,” writes publicist Jerry Broz. “There’s nothing quite like locking and ringing a chord with three other guys or singing in a chorus.”

Barbershop style is something that must be experienced. If you can sing “Happy Birthday,” you can learn to sing barbershop harmony.  Singers come from all walks of life, with varying levels of ability and training.

Experienced singers also are invited to participate.

Guest night is set for 7:15PM Tues., Oct. 10, 2017, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, located at 815 S. Washington Street, just south of Edward Hospital in Naperville.

Men who are interested should contact Bruce Rhoades at (708) 243-0749 or email him at Bruce@rbihomes.com if you plan to attend or just show up on October 10.  All adult men are welcome.
