Video Voice – The return of rush hour

-

As the kids return to school, the morning rush hour returns to Naperville. The daily routines that were put on-hold during the summer holidays start back up: packing sack lunches, gathering homework from the kitchen table, stuffing athletic gear in backpacks, and rushing out the door to catch the bus!

This time of year also signals a return of many daily routines here at the station. “Naperville Sports Weekly” is back on Channel 17 so our sports reporters are out at all six local high schools capturing all the action. While their day starts later than most, they’ll be editing well in to the night in order to post game highlights to our website and YouTube channel by the time you wake up each morning.

District 203 Superintendent Dan Bridges will be back in the studio hosting “School Scene.” Together with members of his staff, he’ll update residents on what the schools will be doing this year to help students become college and career ready. Boy and girl scout troops from across D203 and D204 will start stopping by the station for an after-school tour and an opportunity to tape a video clip in front of our green screen. And, the NCTV17 Crew will roll out to LIVE broadcast the Labor Day Parade and 9/11 Memorial.

Our viewers lead busy lives so NCTV17 airs all shows multiple times throughout the week on Channel 17 while also making them available on-demand at NCTV17.com. Depending on how much time you have at your disposal, you can watch full episodes while working out or commuting downtown – or just an individual story, interview, or sports highlight while waiting for your morning coffee to brew. Either way, you can access all our content on your smart phone, tablet, or laptop from our newly redesigned website (thanks Launch Digital Marketing!)

And, if you like being the neighbor at the bus stop who has all the latest local news (assuming you make it there on time) you can sign up to receive our daily two-minute news and sports video update which will just show up in your inbox each day. How nice is that? Something you don’t have to remember to do!

No matter what your morning rush hour includes this fall, NCTV17 will be there when you’re ready to get connected to what everyone else in town has been doing. No rush – we’re here on-demand, 24/7.
