Update, June 11, 2024 / The 2024 Naperville Jaycees Labor Day Parade will honor the late Junior Chamber International (JCI) Senator Al DeGeeter’s lifelong commitment to service above self. In his memory, the Naperville Jaycees will be collecting donations along the parade route for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
Al DeGeeter is pictured above in front of the Jaycees Gazebo and between two other Naperville residents known for their longtime commitment to the Naperville Jaycees and distinguished as U.S. JCI Senators. The Jaycees Gazebo along the Riverwalk extension was funded, in part, with funds raised from Last Fling.
The annual parade starts its journey through Downtown Naperville at 10AM on Labor Day, Mon., Sept. 2, 2024. For more information, to view a map of the 2024 parade route, to register, or to become a sponsor, visit lastfling.org/ParadeEntry prior to August 9.
The most recent post from the Naperville Jaycees is posted on this website with a click here. PN recognizes the service club for its longtime commitment to the community as well as fundraising for unmet needs. This publication also appreciates how the Jaycees helped PN launch in print and online back in 2001, just in time for Last Fling and the Labor Day Parade.
One more thing… Many devoted Jaycees now serve on the boards of nonprofit organizations and foundations that also make a big difference in this community. Thanks to all. —PN

Members of the Jaycees and the Jaycees Gazebo along the Riverwalk were featured on the first front cover of PN in September 2001 and again in September 2011 to promote Last Fling. Only one of the four Jaycees Senators did not appear in either of the two cover photos.
