Casey’s Foods located at Naperville Plaza will be firing up its grill every Saturday and Sunday from 11AM to 2PM through October, weather permitting. Choose from a variety of options, including burgers, brats, tacos or the weekly special. It’s great food, at a good price, in a fun atmosphere. Casey’s Saturday Special, 8AM-7PM, while supplies last! Ribeye steaks, boneless, ready for the grill are $12.98 per lb. (Savings of $3 per lb!)

Downtown Naperville
Visit Downtown Naperville to celebrate all things Harry Potter on Saturday, July 29. Downtown Naperville is known for many things including their great Harry Potter celebrations – with or without a new book release. There will be many fun and exciting offerings (costume  contests, wand making, Quidditch games, Butterbeer, sorting hats), FREE Trolley Rides around downtown and more activities going on some by day, but the majority of events will occur between 3-7PM. In celebration of events around downtown, Jackson Avenue will be closed from Eagle to Webster Streets from 3-7PM. Following the merriment, we will be showing the original Harry Potter & the Sorcerer’s Stone movie in Central Park starting at 8PM.

Riverwalk Fishing Pier at Eagle Street – Also in local ponds.
Naperville residents who enjoy recreational fishing can find a spot right here in Naperville with 19 parks that offer fishing in stocked ponds, streams or rivers. Anyone looking for bait will find a selection at Dog Patch Pet & Feed located at 1108 E. Ogden Avenue.

Moser Tower / Carillon Tour – Noon | $3

Higher than most kites… Tours include stops to see the 72-bell instrument with a peek at the largest bell, Big Joe; and an opportunity to experience the beautiful vista from the observation deck near top of the 160-ft. Moser Tower. The Moser Tower with the Millennium Carillon and the Visitor Center hours are from 10AM to 4PM on Saturdays and from 12-noon-6PM on Sundays through October 29. Find one of the world’s largest musical instruments at the base of Rotary Hill. And, of course, the spectacular view from the observation deck of this Tree City USA changes every season. Enjoy the view, highly recommended on a clear day.

Summer Place Theatre presents ‘Anything Goes’ – 3PM | $10-$20. Tickets are $10 for children, $15 for seniors and students, and $20 for adults.

A Cole Porter classic, “Anything Goes” is a love story, a crime drama, and a wild comedy all in one. The story is one you’ve undoubtedly heard before: Billy loves Hope, Hope is engaged to Evelyn, Evelyn is enraptured by Reno, and all of them are somehow mixed up with crime duo Moonface Martin and Erma. This all unfolds in the confines of a ship in the middle of the Atlantic. This uproarious comedy of errors features big dance numbers, flashy costumes, a colorful set, and toe-tapping musical favorites like You’re the Top, I Get a Kick Out of You, and of course, “Anything Goes.” Experience the fun at Naperville Central High School at 7:30PM Aug. 4, Aug. 5. The Hinsdale-based West Suburban Symphony under the baton of internationally acclaimed conductor Peter Lipari, will perform classic rock music at 4:30PM Sunday, July 30, at Wentz Concert Hall, 171 E. Chicago Avenue, Naperville. The concert features epic classics from the Beatles, Beach Boys, Eagles, Doors, Who, and artists including Jim Croce, Michael Jackson, Billy Joel, Whitney Houston, and Gloria Estefan. Local businesses sponsor weekly raffles at the NMB concerts, 7:30PM Thursdays, in Central Park.

Come hear the music! The Naperville Municipal Band plays on from the stage of the Community Concert Center during its summer concert series at 7:30PM every Thursday until Aug. 17. Enjoy the bake sale in the gazebo and be sure to pick up a numbered program to play a part in the weekly raffle. The free concerts welcome everybody to Central Park!
