The Y – Family time summer movie nights

-

Strong relationships are one of the cornerstones of health and well-being, and few relationships are as important as those between adults and children when it comes to helping kids learn, grow and thrive. That’s why the Y upholds family time as one of the three pillars that make up a healthy family home. All year long the Y designates specific times and activities just for families.

This summer the YMCA is hosting another great lineup of movies for kids and families in Central Park. Viewed on our 50 foot inflatable screen, these events are free to the community. With movie start times at dusk, it sets up a nice evening where families can enjoy downtown Naperville and then a stroll over to Central Park to conclude their night “under the stars.” There are benches for viewing and many families make a picnic by bringing blankets and their own snacks.

2017 Summer Movie night lineup

June 16 – Sing

July 7 – Kubo and the Two Strings

July 29 (Saturday) – Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone

August 11 – Moana

September 8 – Lego Batman Movie

The Y is thankful for the City of Naperville for their support through the SECA Fund and appreciate this year’s sponsors- Compass Mortgage and the Downtown Naperville Alliance. Sponsorship opportunities still exist for three of our movie nights. Please contact me if you would like to host a movie night.

This summer offers a great opportunity for some quality family time so mark your calendars now!
