Above / The Big Red Door marks the entry to exploration and adventure at the DuPage Children’s Museum, located at 301 N. Washington St., in Naperville.

Limited tickets are available to celebrate 30 Years of “Mission in Motion” at the 2017 Benefit Ball.

The DuPage Children’s Museum’s celebration of the year will be held at Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago Naperville, located at 1823 Abriter Court, just north of Diehl Road along the Corporate Corridor.

DuPage Children’s Museum (DCM) will host its annual Benefit Ball on Sat., June 17, 2017, at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago Naperville in Naperville, IL. This year’s event, themed 30 years of “Mission in Motion,” will be especially festive as DCM will celebrate its 30th birthday on June 24, 2017.

The black tie optional Benefit Ball not only serves as a celebration for DCM and its mission, but is also the top fundraiser for the Museum, a nonprofit, which depends on donations and grants to cover a large portion of its operating budget.

For 30 years, DCM has been igniting the potential of all children through hands-on exploration. The Museum’s unique learning environment, packed with innovative ways to explore art, math, and science, has inspired curiosity, creativity, and problem solving in millions of visitors who have walked through the Big Red Door.

Benefit Ball begins at 6PM, includes memories of Co-Founder Louise Beem

The event begins at 6PM with a cocktail reception and silent auction.

A pre-dinner memorial to DCM’s co-founder, Louise Beem, who recently passed away, will pull at the heart strings of everyone attending.

The evening will continue with a delicious dinner, live auction, special recognition of Honorary Benefit Ball Committee Co-Chairs Julie Chirico and Cathy Subber, and presentation of the Great Friend to Kids Award, a national effort embraced by children’s museums across the country to honor those who have made significant contributions to enriching lives of children. Dessert and dancing will conclude the evening with live music provided by Fantasia Band.

DCM is pleased to present the Great Friend to Kids Award to Martin P. Slark, CEO of Molex, LLC. Mr. Slark has overall responsibility for the company’s strategic direction and global execution. Presenting the Great Friend to Kids Award is Melvin D. Williams, President of Nicor Gas and last year’s DCM Benefit Ball Honorary Chairman and Award Recipient.

ABC7 news anchor Judy Hsu once again will return as the evening’s emcee.  Judy Hsu is an Emmy Award winning broadcast journalist and co-anchor of the top rated ABC7 Eyewitness News.

Tickets to the celebratory evening are $300 per person or $3,000 for a table of 10. All tickets will be held at the door: Embassy Suites By Hilton Chicago Naperville, 1823 Abriter Court, Naperville, IL, 60563. Complimentary valet parking will be available at the East entrance to the hotel.
