We have lots to be happy about this May. So many animals are coming and going here at Dog Patch! This time of year there are abundances of young animals in shelters — and then headed our way to be adopted. While they are a handful, we love finding them a fresh start here in Naperville.
For all of you with outdoor ponds, we have received out first shipment of pond supplies and koi. Helping our customers plan their ponds is always fun this time of year here. Plus, we get to spend a bit more time outside tending to our koi. Plants will arrive by Mother’s Day. And best of all, we have managed to keep our $2 koi for another year.
We continue to bring in new foods for dogs and cats. Next time you stop by, take a look at a newly freshened Solid Gold line of dog and cat food. Another new selection, Victor, is a well-made brand from Texas that also is very reasonably priced.
With all of this good news about supplies and pets, there is something that has me very concerned. Water main replacement is happening again on Ogden Avenue. This year, they’re working right in front of the store. We’re told that all lanes will be open during rush hours, overnight hours and weekends. Other times when Ogden is reduced to one lane, you might need to allow additional time when traveling in this area. Any time customers are inconvenienced, even if just a little, any business will suffer. I beg you to continue your support. Perhaps shift your shopping hours with us to later in the afternoon. In our case, many animals’ lives may depend on it.
And remember… Dog Patch Pet & Feed has an assortment of fishing bait so local anglers can enjoy the peaceful sport in the great outdoors. Just ask.
