Naperville Riverwalk is a showcase of tulips and other opportunities

-

Above / Stroll the Riverwalk and enjoy what’s blossoming at the Civic Plaza, Webster and Jackson, and all along the winding paths from the Hillside Road Bridge to the Jefferson Avenue Bridge.

Simply put, the Naperville Park District annual tulip bulb sale will take place beginning at 8AM on Friday, May 12, at the Administration Building parking lot, located at 320 W. Jackson Ave.  The bulbs for sale will include those currently blooming this spring along the Riverwalk, in front of the Park District Administration Building and throughout the district. Tulip bulbs are $3 per dozen, first come, first served.

Just as the colored eggs in the annual Jaycees Easter Egg Hunt, the tulip bulbs go quickly, too. Be on time for the best selection.

Commemorative bricks along the Riverwalk extension & in Fredenhagen Park

Also, with the Riverwalk in springtime bloom during its 35th anniversary year, inquiries regarding how to support the natural treasure with the purchase of a commemorative brick have been growing, too.

The “Buy a Brick” campaign continues in support of the Riverwalk Foundation.

Also, as the community marks the 35th anniversary year of the Naperville Riverwalk, the Riverwalk Commission seeks public input via an online survey. The goal of this survey is to determine community preference of the Riverwalk’s current amenities in order to gauge needs for changes or improvements.

All Riverwalk visitors are welcome to take the survey with a click here, especially residents who live in zip codes 60540, 60563, 60564 and 60565.

Thanks for helping determine the future of the Riverwalk.

This online survey has been up and running since April 1. The final day to take the survey is Sun., April 23, 2017.
