The Naperville Municipal Band’s winter concert, “American Composers,” was held March 19, in the Neuqua Valley High School Auditorium.
The concert featured the Neuqua Valley High School honors freshman band, Concert Winds, under the leadership of Emily Binder.
Concert Winds performed Riders for the Flag by John Philip Sousa, Down a Country Lane by Aaron Copland and American Salute by Morton Gould and arranged by Naperville’s own, William Jastrow.
After Concert Winds opened the concert, the Naperville Municipal Band played its tribute to many of America’s renown composers. Then the ensemble joined the 90-piece band for a rousing finale.
