March is always a busy month in Naperville so NCTV17 will be out around town covering the West Suburban Irish St. Patrick’s Day parade on March 11; the Mayor’s State of the City address on March 20, multiple local high school spring concerts as well as the IHSA sports playoffs, and importantly, bringing residents information to help them prepare for the General Election on Tuesday, April 4.
Registered Naperville residents will have an opportunity to early vote for the 2017 Consolidated General Election at City Hall from March 20 through April 3 so NCTV17 will air, “Decision 2017: Meet the Candidates” starting on March 18.
The station invited the candidates running in contested races for Naperville City Council, Indian Prairie School District 204 Board, and Naperville Community Unit School District 203 Board to sit down with NCTV17 Executive Director, Liz Spencer for an 8-9 minute interview. The conversation provides insight in to each candidate’s background, qualifications, and the key issues motivating them to run for office.
The individual interviews will air on Channel 17 in Naperville (Comcast & WOW! subscribers) and Channel 99 (AT&T UVerse) and via simultaneous live stream at NCTV17.com. Voters can also visit our website at NCTV17.com to view the interviews on-demand.
After you’ve cast your vote on April 4, tune in and watch as the election results come in. NCTV17 will be presenting the only television coverage devoted exclusively to the Naperville races on election night. Decision 2017live election coverage will start on NCTV17’s Facebook once the polls close at 7PM and then move to the studio at 8:30PM. Hosted by Liz Spencer and Kenn Miller, the coverage will include returns, commentary and reports from the candidates’ election night headquarters.
