Downtown Naperville Great Indoor Sidewalk Sales – All Day & thru Monday

There may be a winter chill in the air, but not in Downtown Naperville. That’s because sales will be red hot in Downtown Naperville at this weekend’s Great Indoor Sidewalk Sales. Shops need to make room for Spring inventory and that’s good news for you. Planetarium Family Night – 6:30PM |$2
Waubonsie Valley High School, Ogden at Eola roads in Aurora
The community is invited to Family Night at the Waubonsie Valley Planetarium. The program, “Friendly Stars,” will be presented at 6:30 and 7:15PM. Attendees will meet the Sun, talk to the stars, sing “Twinkle, Twinkle,” and find constellation patterns in the night sky. This partially animated program creates a uniquely interactive program targeted to kindergarten and younger audience members. Admission is $2, cash only at the door. Seating is limited and will be on a first come, first serve basis.

Magical Starlight Theatre, a family-oriented community theatre serving Naperville since 1994, presents the first of 10 performances to be staged this weekend and next. Seussical the Musical is produced and directed by Naperville resident Kris Visher. The 14-piece orchestra is directed by John Apple. Above / With a cast of 55 talented singers and dancers, we enjoyed every minute of the dress rehearsal of Seussical the Musical on Jan. 12, 2017.  Great family entertainment with memorable music about “all the things you can be when you think about Seuss.”

Warm up into a world of art and innovation through play and discovery featuring Dream with DaVinci a new traveling exhibit at DuPage Childrens Museum. Visitors will triple their fun with hands-on art and activities provided by the DuPage Childrens Museum, Naper Settlement and the Naperville Public Library. Autism Genetics Study in Naperville – 2PM | Free

Chicagoland families affected by autism can participate in the nations largest study to uncover genetic links to the condition by attending an on-site registration and data collection event in the western suburbs, Saturday, January 14. Families are asked to share demographic, medical and behavioral information. Participants with autism will receive a $50 gift card in the mail upon completion of their study. Register in advance and receive a free personal training session at Right Fit. Center Stage Theater – 1665 Quincy Ave. Naperville, IL 60540
Naperville Sound Stage is Naperville’s only NON STOP music festival! Naperville Sound Stage will feature three Main Stage bands and three Acoustic Stage artists from the Chicago area. The Main Stage will feature music from WaxWorks, Cardinal Harbor and Feed the Birds. The Acoustic stage will feature music from Myna MacArthur, Ashley Kushner and Matthew Reis. Chicago Sinfonietta’s “Annual Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.” concert returns with a never-before-seen “side by side by side” performance that will match Sinfonietta musicians with young musicians. The joyful performance highlights the next generation of diverse musicians being developed in Chicago and surrounding areas. The Roosevelt University Conservatory Choir joins the Sinfonietta for an epic performance of “Ode to Joy” from Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9.
