I look forward to my new role as Loaves & Fishes CEO and President with great excitement. As a Board member for over seven years, I joined the organization when Loaves & Fishes was still housed in a small warehouse on 5th Avenue. It was my honor to be part of the team that brought the organization into its current, larger facility that now provides more services to our neighbors. And to further that direction, on July 1, Loaves & Fishes joined forces with Naperville CARES to increase the scope of these services.
When the Board and I began a dialogue in August to discuss my interest in becoming CEO, I grew more excited about contributing in this additional capacity and began considering this career-changing decision. My passion for the mission has always been there, but greatly increased over the last six months as Interim CEO. I am compelled and amazed by all that’s achieved on a daily basis by our dedicated volunteers, staff and donors. They are all united in their constant pursuit of trying to help more people in the best ways.
I feel that I have been fortunate both professionally and in my family life. Our community inspires me with the incredible amount of support it provides to those in need. The collective effort put forth by individuals and organizations is the key to providing hope for those who are under-resourced. It will be a privilege to contribute to our organization, the Naperville community and broader DuPage County in a more significant way.
