The Exchange Club of Naperville follows a mission to prevent child abuse and domestic violence. The Exchange Club of Naperville is also a family. We care deeply about our members.
One member in particular has had a difficult path since June. Ed Wegner and I work together on the Entertainment Committee for Ribfest. In 2015 when I was diagnosed with cancer, Ed was there to pick up the slack, attend meetings when I couldn’t and to be there for me. I couldn’t have gotten through 2015 Ribfest without him.
Now, he needs our help. Ed’s son, Justin, was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer this past June. He has been going through extensive treatments. The Naperville Community has been a great support to Justin and his family. I wear a purple #JWEGSTRONG bracelet in honor of Justin. You will see these bracelets on people all over town.
Naperville has come out as a community in support of Justin and the Wegner Family. I ask you to take a moment and give some positive thoughts to Justin. I know the Wegner Family, the Exchange Club Family and the Naperville Community will appreciate it.
The Exchange Club meets on the first and third Fridays at 11:45AM at Hugo’s Frog Pond in the Main Street Promenade. We welcome your interest in our club as we’re always seeking new members who embrace our mission, which is the prevention of child abuse and domestic violence.
