Musical entertainment on two stages, carnival, contests, special events. Family Fun Land from Saturday to Monday. Special needs kids given priority at carnival from 10AM to noon Sunday. Fling Mile at 8:45AM Monday starting at Douglas and Mill St., followed by Rooster 5K at 9AM. Labor Day Parade starts at 10AM Monday at Naperville North High School, 899 N. The Naperville Jaycees Family Fun Land area, which is part of the Last Fling, provides a family-friendly atmosphere with bouncy rides, pony rides, an entertainment stage, arts and crafts area, food and beverages, family-focused business expo booths and much more. Last Fling Skaters’ Picnic – 11AM | Free
Centennial Beach – 500 W. Jackson Ave. Naperville, IL 60540
Skaters of all ages and their families are invited to the 12th annual Skaters Picnic at Centennial Beach Skate Park in downtown Naperville on Saturday, September 3, from 11AM until 2PM during the Jaycees Last Fling Celebration. This FREE event, hosted by KidsMatter, The Naperville Police Department, and the Naperville Park Police, will provide a free lunch, a free raffle ticket for some amazing prizes, and a free t-shirt to the first 100 skaters. Character Skateboards will bring professional skaters to perform skate demonstrations and a live DJ will be on hand courtesy of Ben Wiersum Sound Technology. Fall Container Fest – 10AM | Activities vary – $0 – $60.00
The Growing Place – 25 W 471 Plank Rd Naperville, IL 60563
This fest is uncontainable! The Growing Place is going beyond the basics for a day filled with great container inspiration, classes, and workshops. 10AM.  Rock and Roll and Hypertufa Trough Make a lightweight concrete container that can withstand our harsh winters for several years. Some perennials can even overwinter in them. The troughs will measure approximately 14 x 20. You can also bring your own container to use as a mold. Be prepared to get dirty. Cost: $40. Call (630) 355-4000 to register. 11AM – Make Your Fall Containers Sing Mums and more can make you the envy of your neighborhood. Well help you create a one-of-a-kind pot for your home. Best of all, anyone making a fall container will be entered to win a winter container made just for you by our expert designers. Cost: Materials used (Average cost: $50-$60). Call (630) 355-4000 to register. Noon – Avoiding the Broken Pot Blues Winter can be tough on containers. Well talk about what pots hold up best and how get the ones you have ready for winter. Well also demo how to create something amazing out of broken pots. Cost: Free. Registration not required. 1PM –  Do the Monster Mash Mini Garden Create a fall or Halloween themed mini garden! Casey’s Fires Up the Grill – 11AM | Price varies with purchase.
Casey’s Foods – 124 W. Gartner Rd. Naperville, IL 60540
Caseys Foods located at Naperville Plaza will be firing up its grill every Saturday and Sunday from 11AM to 2PM through October, weather permitting. Choose from a variety of options, including burgers, brats, tacos or the weekly special. Its great food, at a good price, in a fun atmosphere.  Plus, it’s just around the bend from Oswald’s where kids will find school supplies and spirit wear.

German Language Church Service – 11:30AM | Free
St. John United Church of Christ – 1190 Olesen Drive Naperville, IL 60540
Church services in the German language will be held at St. John United Church of Christ at 11:30AM on Sunday, September 4. The service will be led by Pastor Dr. Egon Gerdes, and all are welcome to attend. St. John UCC is located at 1190 Olesen Dr. German services are held on the first Sunday of every month and will continue on October 2 and November 6. For more information, call (630) 355-5208.

The Parade proceeds south on Mill St. starting at Naperville North High School, east on Jefferson Ave., south on Mill St., west on Porter to end at Naperville Central High School.
