I am pleased to report that the Exchange Club of Naperville recently was acknowledged at the National Exchange Club Convention in Houston, Texas.
Ribfest 2015 won the National Outstanding Fundraising Award for clubs with more than 75 members.
The following members received a beautiful pin for bringing in 10 members: Bruce Erickson, Janet Jacobs, Stan Rocush, Scot Warren and Sherry Weinstein. I was honored with a pin for bringing in 25 members.
In June, a little closer to home, several members were acknowledged for their good deeds at the Lincolnland District Convention at Pheasant Run in St. Charles. Kevin Dolan received Honorable Mention for the All American Volunteer Award. Dawn Portner, outgoing Lincolnland President, received Honorable Mention for Distinguished Service.
The Kremer-Clarkson-Krause Award for outstanding communication was presented to me. This is a highly coveted award that is not always given. I’ve got to say I am deeply honored to have received this award.
One of the goals of Exchange is to build new clubs. The Exchange Club of Naperville built two clubs this past year. Under the leadership of Portner, Jacobs, Warren and myself, the Exchange Club of DuPage County was formed.
The Excel Exchange Club of the Alive Center was formed with club builders Portner, Jacobs, Marsha Poppie and Roz Morris. Congratulations to these new clubs, their members and club builders.
Please remember you are always welcome to join us for a luncheon meeting on the first and third Fridays at noon at Hugo’s Frog Pond. We welcome your interest in our club as we’re always seeking new members who embrace our mission.
