dixonAllow me to introduce myself.

I am Warren Dixon III, Naperville Township Assessor. A native of Naperville and a third generation real estate professional, I’m the son of Warren Dixon, Jr, 37- year Assessor; and grandson of Warren “Red” Dixon, Sr. Broker/Owner of Dixon Realty.

I guess it is fair to say real estate is in my blood and for the last 23 years I have practiced as an appraiser, assessor, and board of review member.

I have enjoyed spending the last two years as your Assessor, speaking to Homeowners Organizations, giving Property Tax Presentations with State Senators and Representatives, testifying in Springfield, and serving as a member of the Governors Taskforce on Local Government Consolidation and Unfunded Mandates. This experience and the teaching of some great mentors, have provided me the knowledge and allowed myself to put my finger on the true pulse of what really impacts property taxes. I am very excited to be able to share some of this insight in the months to come through this column. I will leave you with this teaser for next month.
