Real News – Time to plan for summer

-

As sure as it will snow the first week of March, seasonal spring weather will come sometime in April, followed by the sunny days of summer. And summer will bring with it a full calendar of outdoor activities. Swimming, hiking, tennis, and golf.

Believe it or not, now is the time to plan for those warm-weather activities.

A mainstay in Naperville’s golfing community since 1989 is the 120-acre golf course, Tamarack Golf Club. This club is located at 24032 Royal Worthington Drive in Naperville, with a two-story high clubhouse, providing storage below for golf carts and a pro shop.

When it was first constructed, it was a slightly bigger complex. But the widening of Route 59 caused the removal of the driving range, and ownership wanted to be a good neighbor and accommodated the sale of that land to the state.

The best time to reserve a 2016 summer event is now, so that means that Tamarack is getting ready, too.
This year they are focusing on the clubhouse, and the revitalization program is underway right now as they renovate the interior facilities of the clubhouse. The 180-seat capacity is receiving updated bathrooms, new exterior doors, and a new interior decorating theme.

Jill Gulledge, sales director for Tamarack, has been with the facility for over nine years. The area resident is excited about the changes and the possibilities that come with these modifications. Jill notes that in addition to golf outings, Tamarack hosts all kinds of events, showers, luncheons and charity fundraisers.
Jill adds, “I love the weddings the most, when you make someone’s wedding go well you have created a lifelong memory.”

Tamarack has been creating memories for many years, both in the clubhouse and on the course.
