The Naperville Tennis Club will host its annual holiday tennis event from 1:30 to 3:30PM, Tues., Dec. 15. This year’s event is titled “Raise a Racquet for the Hesed House.”
Play includes “progressive doubles and a court with a pro, so not fixed partner,” organizers said. Individuals do not need to sign up with a partner.
During the two-hour benefit for Hesed House, the tennis court is free of charge and Naperville Tennis Club membership is not required.
Serve for Hesed House
Individuals are asked to bring a gift for Hesed House, a national model for ending homelessness located in Aurora. The Comprehensive Homeless Resource Center, a campus of centralized highly skilled professionals collaborating to provide the tools necessary to help individuals and families break free of homelessness, aims “to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, shelter the homeless and give people the chance to hope again.”
Items on the Hesed House wish list include “trial-sized” toiletries, socks and undergarments, cold weather clothes, baby formula, baby wipes, diapers, nonperishable food items, and monetary donations.
Reservations are required in order to assure enough room for all players.
Playroom service is available for children 15 months and up for a small charge of $2 per child.
Naperville Tennis Club is located at 1011 E. Benton Ave. in Naperville.
