The Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise (Also known as Sunrise Rotary) now is accepting grant applications for consideration as it selects designated beneficiaries and funding recipients for 2017. Sunrise Rotary conducts one or more major fundraising events throughout the year, including its Annual St. Paddy’s Day 5K that is slated for the fifth year on March 12, 2016, the Saturday before St. Patrick’s Day.
In addition, ancillary fundraising initiatives are performed at times by one or more service committees.
The club’s avenues of service include Community, International, Vocational and Youth Services.
Grant requests due Nov. 25
All Requests for Funding Applications must be received no later than 5PM on Wed., Nov. 25, 2015.
The mission of Rotary is to provide business, professional and community leaders an opportunity for service to others in order to benefit our community and to provide high ethical standards, fellowship and goodwill worldwide. The Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise strives to be the premier service club for our community’s teens, young adults and families.
Nonprofit applicants’ proposals will be considered on the basis of:
- The potential of the organization or project to make a contribution toward improving the quality of life of those served which is in alignment with the Rotary Club’s mission and avenues of service.
- The adequacy of plans for measuring success, outcomes and benefits of the funded organization or program to those served.
- Demonstrated stability of organization through consistent and effective management, strong board engagement, a broad base of community and volunteer support, and financial responsibility.
- The ability of the requesting organization to support and augment the Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise 5K event promotion/marketing and day-of event volunteer support.
2016 St. Patty’s Day 5K Beneficiary named soon
The Board of the Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise will make a final selection of the primary beneficiary for its St. Paddy’s Day 5K on or before Dec. 10, 2015. The beneficiary for the 5K event will be awarded at a club meeting in July. Beneficiaries to other Rotary Club fundraising activities performed by one of our avenue of service committees will be selected throughout the year.
