Naperville Police Detective Paul Elliott has been named Juvenile Police Officer of the Year by the DuPage County Juvenile Officers’ Association (DJOA).
Elliott is a 19-year veteran of the Naperville Police Department who currently serves as a detective in the Youth Services Unit and has previously served as a field training officer, firearm instructor and school resource officer at Neuqua Valley High School.
As a youth detective, Elliott investigates criminal and status offense cases involving individuals under 18 years old as victims or offenders.
“This is a well-deserved award for an exceptional officer who shows his commitment to his job and this community every day,” said Police Chief Robert Marshall. “The Naperville Police Department is lucky to have Detective Paul Elliott, and we’re grateful to the DJOA for recognizing the value he brings to Naperville, as well.”
Elliott received his award at the Fall Conference of the DuPage Juvenile Officers’ Association.
