On October 27, the Phil Lawler Batting 4 A Cure Foundation presented a $20,000 check to the Edward Foundation on behalf of the Edward Cancer Center in support of patient programs and services.
The Lawler family formed the Foundation in memory of their father, Phil Lawler, a Naperville Central High School baseball coach, physical education teacher and children’s fitness advocate, who died of cancer in 2010.
The donation to the Cancer Center was made as a result of funds raised at the Foundation’s third annual charity golf outing on September 26 at Tamarack Golf Club in Naperville.
