Your Choice: A Family’s Journey to Recovery will be presented beginning at 7PM on Wed., Oct. 28, 2015, at the Naperville Municipal Center, located at 400 S Eagle Street.
Organizers assert that although most young people make good choices when it comes to drugs and alcohol, there will always be those that make choices not conducive to a healthy lifestyle.
As a result, Partnership for Prevention has arranged to host a prevention program to help keep the young people of this community on the right track.
Above /The Lybert Family speaks at schools and gives presentations about their own trials and experiences involving a fight against substance abuse.
Your Choice is a nonprofit organization founded by the Lybert family – Sandi, Rick, Ashleigh and Tyler. Tyler struggled with drugs and alcohol for 11 years before completing treatment in 2008. Having experienced the devastation of Tyler’s drug abuse, the Lyberts came together to educate teens and adults about alcohol and other illegal drugs and offer help and support to individuals in need.
Parents are the most powerful influence in their children’s lives. Children who learn about the risks of drugs and alcohol from their parents are 50 percent less likely to use than those who don’t, according to the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence.
This free event is open to the entire community.
