Month-long Investigation Leads to Arrest of Aurora Man for Criminal Sexual Abuse and Indecent Solicitation of a Child
A 25-year-old man from Aurora, identified as Anthony Molina from the 800 Block of 5th Avenue, was arrested by the Naperville Police Department High Technology Crimes Unit after a month-long investigation culminating in his arrest for meeting a 15-year-old Naperville girl on a cell phone application and then arranging a sexual tryst with her in the parking lot of the AMC theater in Naperville.
This activity was reported to the Naperville Police Department High Technology Crimes Unit by the mother of the 15-year-old who discovered the alarming solicitations from Molina when looking into her daughter’s cell phone activity.
It is alleged that Molina was using the screen name “Michael Leotta” on various cell phone applications such as “Whiplir” and “Kik.” He had several inappropriate texting conversations with the 15-year-old Naperville girl and convinced her to meet with him on two occasions.
It is alleged that in the second meeting, Molina convinced the 15-year-old girl to come into his vehicle with him where they parked in the parking lot of the theater and sexual conduct occurred.
Anthony Molina was interviewed and arrested at his place of work in Oswego. Two search warrants were executed where Molina held residency.
The Will County States Attorney’s Office charged Molina with 1 count of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse, Indecent Solicitation of a Child and Grooming.
