When you head to the Hotel Arista at CityGate Centre or Top Golf on Naperville’s northwest side, be mindful of the new traffic configuration at I-88 and Route 59 that may create a little confusion for first-time users. As always, drive with caution. The innovative diverging diamond interchange is expected to enhance traffic flow on and off I-88.
(Note: The first diverging diamond interchange opened to traffic in the state of Illinois on I-57 at Marion on August 12, 2015. Diverging diamond interchanges are now operational in 18 states across the nation, with plans to construct them in six other states.)
Historic Meson Sabika, located at 1025 Aurora Ave., offers outdoor dining with a choice of two patio settings, one between the Mansion and the Pavilion with seating for patrons and their friendly dogs. The CAPS awards dinner for the Naperville Fire Department is slated for 6:30PM on Thursday, October 22, in the Pavilion at Meson Sabika. In addition to providing a community gathering place and ringing its bells to entertain and to mark special occasions, Naperville’s Millennium Carillon helps celebrate holidays and community causes silently through its colored lighting schedule. The regular white lights shine most of the year. This autumn, the lights will change to yellow from September 8-14 to highlight childhood cancer awareness and then will shine orange from September 15-21 to mark Hunger Action Month. Orange lights will shine for Halloween from October 27-November 2 and the lights will switch to red, white and blue to honor Veterans Day from November 3-11.
