The National Weather Service has issued a flash-flood warning for DuPage and Will Counties and Northeast Illinois, resulting from the earlier rainfall and more heavy rain expected this evening and through 7AM Sat., Sept. 19, 2015.
Residents are urged to be cautious on roadways and avoid area rivers due to excessive runoff or where standing water is present. Recent radar reports indicate an additional 1 to 2 inches of rain are on the way.

According to Google, a Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash Flooding is a very dangerous situation. Monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
Friday’s Local High School Sports Rescheduled
As a result of the rainy weather, complete with lightning and thunder, most area outdoor high school sports events scheduled for this evening have been postponed and rescheduled.
Some schools, such as Naperville North, are playing the start of their games hour by hour.
Update late Friday / Naperville North running back Jalen Lockhart rushed for 124 yards in the Huskies loss, 0-7, to Lake Park, during the deluge that created two delays due to lightning and thunder.
