Naperbrook Golf Course 2015 Senior Fall Scramble Goes into Sudden Death Playoff
The 2015 Fall Senior Scramble tournament at Naperbrook Golf Course began under blue skies with 28 four-person teams. Heavy rain set in at mid-day, forcing a two-hour weather delay.
When play resumed, sunset was approaching, with three teams tied at 13 under par. The three teams participated in a sudden death playoff.
“After the first hole, one team was eliminated with a par, while the other two teams birdied the hole. The remaining two teams went on to birdie holes 2 and 3. As darkness hit, the playoff was moved to hole 9 for a team chip off, which proved to be challenging, with darkness affecting depth perception. The team of Beckman, Bryan, Buhrandt and Jensen won the chip off at 5 feet 3 inches,” said Naperbrook’s Head Golf Professional Tim Dunn.
