Downtown Naperville is Set for Seasonal Traditions

As the colors of autumn begin to brighten, Downtown Naperville again is rolling out the proverbial red carpet to welcome the changing season and autumn traditions.

Shoppers of every style will find “End of Summer Sales” at downtown’s established shops such as Dean’s Fine Clothing and Anderson’s Bookshops as well as others that recently arrived on the scene, including Evereve, Alixandra Collections, Apricot Lane and Francesca’s Collection.

Stop by Mo’s Bake House and experience a tasty new bakery. Then check out other new businesses including Artezenato Studio and Snap Kitchen. Erehwon Outfitters is slated to open soon.

Above / All during September, Catch 35 hosts its annual Lobster Bash. The restaurant is located at the corner of Washington and Van Buren, just steps from the Van Buren Parking Deck.

Good-bye Painted Cars / After nearly four months, the whimsical Painted Cars are expected to depart Downtown Naperville on Sept. 14. Be sure to snap a photo with the youngsters in your life before these colorful works of art find a new parking spot.

Riverwalk Fine Art Fair / Jackson Avenue and the winding brick path from Main to Eagle streets again create a magnificent backdrop for the Riverwalk Fine Art Fair from 10AM to 5PM Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 19-20.

Fall Style Weekend / Billed as “three full days of fashion, food and fun for ladies of all ages,” the Fall Style Weekend will feature special savings on new fall apparel and accessories Sept. 25-27. Time is scheduled for cooking classes, fashion shows, fitness classes and lessons, wine tasting, delicious dining and more.

A Special Check-In Event is slated at the Main Street Promenade from 10AM to Noon, Fri., Sept. 25.

This year, the Fashion Show with brunch and prizes will take place at 10AM Sat., Sept 26, at Sullivan’s Steakhouse. Featuring the latest fall fashions from downtown shops, the cost is $15 (plus tax and gratuity). Call Sullivan’s to make a reservation at (630) 305-0230.
