Naperville Park District announces parking lot closures, hours of operations during Last Fling

Above /  Update… organizers have begun setting up for the 50th annual Jaycees Last Fling along Jackson Avenue, slated for Sept. 4-7.

Beginning Wednesday, Sept. 2 setting up for the Jaycees’ Last Fling required the closing of parking lots and streets at and near the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center and Park District Administration Building.

The parking lots for the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center (at 305 W. Jackson Ave.) and the Park District Administration Building (320 W. Jackson Ave.) will close at 5AM on Wednesday, Sept. 2 and will remain closed through Monday, Sept. 7.

Labor Day Weekend Hours

Park District hours of operation surrounding the Labor Day Holiday and Last Fling event are as follows:

  • Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center – Closed Aug. 31- Sept. 7
  • Administration Building and 95th Street Center – Open Aug. 31-Sept. 4 with an early closing at 3PM on Friday, Sept. 4.  Closed Sept. 5-7.
  • Knoch Knolls Nature Center – Closed Sept. 7.
  • Riverwalk Eatery and Paddleboat Quarry – Closed on Fri., Sept. 4.  Open from 10AM-3PM Sept. 5-6 and from 10AM-5PM Sept. 7.
  • Springbrook and Naperbrook Golf Courses – Open with regular hours.

Above / Since 1931, the historic Centennial Beach has attracted residents to swim, dive and play every summer.

Centennial Beach will maintain the following end-of-season hours:

Saturday, Sept. 5

o   9-10:55AM– Adult Float

o   11AM-dusk – Open Swim

Sunday, Sept. 6

o   9AM-10:55AM – Adult Float

o   11AM-6PM– Open Swim

Monday, Sept. 7

o   11AM-6PM – Open Swim

The 2015 summer swim season for Centennial Beach ends Labor Day.
