Art Sale – NAL’s parking lot will be converted to an outdoor art venue on Saturday, August 8th. Most of the Art on display will be from our own local membership. Attendees will see paintings, 3D work, ceramics, jewelry, wearable art and more. In the event of rain, the sale will be in the classroom. Talk this up and invite friends. Share this post. Today’s grilling will be repeated every Saturday and Sunday with lunchtime favorites until next fall. Picnic tables provide seating under cover. Join the Lupus Society of Illinois for the Western Suburbs Illinois Lupus Walk on August 8, 2015 along the Naperville Riverwalk. This 1M/3M walk will take place in Centennial Park from 9AM-1PM. Each registered participant will receive LSI tee, post-event snack, LSI incentives, entertainment and more. Registration is $25 for adults, $10 for children and all proceeds benefit Lupus Society of Illinois. What better way to spend a lazy, hazy summer day than at a picnic with old-fashioned games, contests, an apple pie competition and a vintage baseball game! Come relive the exciting and interesting history of the Grand Old Game and enjoy the fast-paced action of bare knuckle baseball based on the original rules from 1858. Cheer on the Lemont Quarrymen as they take on the Deep River Grinders at 1PM. Visitors are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets and a picnic. All activities, including the game, are free with museum admission. Naperville Rotary Ride – 6:30AM | $15-$50

The 19th Annual Rotary Ride will start and end at Commissioners Park, located at 3704 111th St. Naperville, IL 60564, on Sunday, August 9, 2015. Riders may start at 6:30AM and no later than noon. Rest Stops and SAG support will end at 3PM. This is a well supported recreational ride for beginners and veteran riders. The Ride has a 1.4 mile family loop, 21, 41, and 62 (metric century) mile routes. All routes are SAG supported and Rest Stops are fully staffed with nutritious food & drinks. Helmets are required for all riders. Safety first. Bikes of all shapes and sizes are welcome. No motorized vehicles. The route is an open road course. Riders must follow all rules of the road.
