Volunteering has always been a part of Mike Doody’s DNA. A resident of Naperville for the past 40 years, Mike spent the last 25 years of his career working as an Executive Search Consultant, and despite his hectic travel schedule and raising a family with his wife MJ – Mike is the proud father of three and grandfather of five – he always found time to volunteer!
Two years before he retired, Mike started looking for an organization where he could continue his volunteer efforts and one of the organizations that caught his eye was the Community Career Center, a resource center that helps those who are in a job search. At the Center, Mike could continue to do what he loved – working with job seekers to become that perfect match for an organization.
Kimberly White, executive director of the Community Career Center is pleased to recognize Mike Doody as the volunteer of the month.
“I knew from day one, watching him interact with our job seekers and recognizing his wealth of experience and knowledge he was going to be an asset to not only the volunteer team at the Center but also the Center’s Board of Directors,” she said.
As Mike puts it, “CCC is more than just a place to go to on a Monday morning. It is truly a fulfilling experience for me. I am lucky to have found CCC!”
And as Kim followed up, “No Mike, the Community Career Center and the job seekers we serve are the lucky ones…in Mike Doody, we have found a gem!”
