Turn lane will be added to 248th Street at Honey Locust Drive

-

1248th Street will experience lane reductions to allow for construction work

Be advised that 248th Street will undergo lane reductions from just north of Honey Locust Drive to Lansdown Avenue for up to two weeks starting on Thursday, August 6. The lane reduction will
allow for widening on both sides of the road, installation of gravel shoulders and restoration.

The purpose of this work is to create a left turn lane into the Ashwood Pointe subdivision from northbound 248th Street.

Work will last for one to two weeks, weather dependent, and will result in a single useable lane that will allow alternating northbound and southbound traffic through the work zone. Traffic controls and flaggers will be on hand during construction hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Two lanes of traffic will be re-established each evening after work is done.

Delays are expected during the construction period and motorists are asked to allow more time for their travels or to seek alternate routes around the work area.
