Naperville Jaycees’ gifts in July help support five nonprofits

-

The Naperville Jaycees recently passed a large check to represent a total donation of $6,250.00 to local nonprofit organizations for the month of July 2015.

The Naperville Jaycees year-round fundraising efforts provide funds to donate to the community. This year the Naperville Jaycees have been researching and donating to deserving local organizations to award monthly grants from April through December 2015.

The July donation amount of $6,250.00 is the total of several smaller donations to various Naperville area nonprofit initiatives that are making strides every day to help important aspects in the community.

The recipients include Teen Parent Connection with a gift of $1,500; 360 Youth Services, $1,250; Samaritan Interfaith, $1,250; Friends for Therapeutic Equine Activities, $1,000; and Our Children’s Homestead, $1,250.

The July donations are in addition to June donations of $6,466 to DuPage Children’s Museum, Hesed House, Little Friends, and Giant Steps, as well as May donations to CASA of DuPage County, DuPage Pads, The Edward Foundation, The Humanitarian Service Project, Naperville Cares, The Peoples Resource Center, Rebuilding Together Aurora, and Sharing Connections.

The tally of recent gifts totals $28,000 presented to more than 20 charitable organizations doing important work in the community.

In addition to the monetary donations, the Naperville Jaycees are continually finding ways to give back through volunteerism and community outreach.
