Town Hall Meeting on June 23 will address what’s happening in Springfield

Updated Original Post / State Senator Mike Connelly, 21st District, and State Rep. Grant Wehrli, 41st District, will team up to host a Town Hall Meeting from 7-9PM on Tues., June 23, at the Naperville Municipal Center. The public is encouraged to attend.

“Despite the news headlines, a few things got accomplished this past spring session,” noted Sen. Connelly in his recent Connelly Chronicles. “And I would like to take this opportunity to share them with you.”

“I want to be transparent about what’s happening in Springfield by inviting the community to a Town Hall meeting,” said State Rep. Wehrli. “I want to inform Naperville residents what the state ought to be doing— and not doing.”

During the two-hour forum, the two elected officials will be provide constituents with the latest information about the budget, important legislation and their efforts with the “Illinois Turnaround” agenda.

Constituents are invited to attend, bring questions, voice opinions, express concerns and propose solutions.

No RSVP is required, but seating could be limited due to room size.

“I hope we fill City Hall,” Wehrli added. “It’s important to hear from the people we serve.”

The Naperville Municipal Center (aka City Hall) is located at 400 S. Eagle Street.

Again, the Town Hall Meeting is 7-9PM Tues., June 23, 2015. The community is welcome to this timely open meeting where constituents can meet face-to-face with two elected officials serving them in Springfield.
