Learn about old Naperville, and see the new Naperville! This one-hour Historic Tour of Naperville blends the past with the present, highlights Naperville’s growth, and includes some fun stories! Tours run every Friday during June, July and August at 11:00AM. Please arrive at 10:50AM. No strollers. $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 4-17. Flashback Fridays: Meet a Curator – 1PM | $10

Meet a Naper Settlement curator on the Flashback Fridays Collections Tour from 1 to 2PM Friday, April 4, and the first Friday of every month through October (no program on July 4) to explore a different part of the museum’s collection. The tours are held off-site at the Collections Care and Storage Facility, located in the City of Naperville’s Department of Public Works building at the corner of Jefferson Avenue and Fort Hill Drive. See real artifacts from the museum’s collection of over 52,000 objects and learn about the stories behind these objects. For teens to adults, space is limited to the first 20 registrants. Cavalcade of Homes – 10AM to 9PM | $10 -12
Ashwood Park Subdivision in Naperville (248 Ave. and 111 St.)
Runs daily through Aug. 17. Some of the best and most innovative new home designs will be on exhibit during the 2014 Cavalcade of Homes event. The 3-week long show is the largest in Illinois and will feature six brand new, beautifully crafted homes in the highly acclaimed community of Ashwood Park North. Tickets can be purchased for $12 at the gate and $10 online. Beginning the first Saturday in June through the last Saturday in October, the Farmer’s Market is open every Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon at the Fifth Avenue Station parking lot.

Go Ballistic in Naperville – 8AM | $55+

The 5K MOB events (obstacle race) test participant’s mental and physical toughness in a competitive and fun environment. The 5K is comprised of off-road running and 12-15 obstacles that are designed to test the entire body. Each event also has an approximately 1.5 mile kids race and post race party, with expected turnout of 2000 participants per event. Church services in the German language will be held at St. John United Church of Christ at 11:30AM on Sunday, August 3, 2014. The service will be led by Pastor Egon Gerdes, and all are welcome to attend. St. John UCC is located at 1190 Olesen Drive in Naperville.
