Chicago Symphony Orchestra Concert Series – 7:30PM | $35-$45
The Morton Arboretum – 4100 Illinois Route 53 Lisle, IL 60532
Listen to the awe-inspiring performances of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra as it returns to The Morton Arboretum for three nights in June. Concerts will begin at 7:30 p.m. and attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and refreshments. Alcoholic beverages will not be allowed into the Arboretum, but food and alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase on site. Thursday, June 26 will feature musical excerpts from Oscar-nominated films, including ‘Mary Poppins’ and ‘Gone with the Wind.’ Enjoy a classical repertoire from masters Tchaikovsky and Beethoven Friday, June 27 and stringed instruments will shine as the orchestra plays Dvor k’s New World Symphony, featuring solo violinist Elena Urioste Saturday, June 28. Tickets for Thursday’s concert are $45 and $40 for Friday and Saturday’s shows. Parking is $10 per vehicle. Arboretum member ticket prices are $35 for each concert and include free parking. www.mortonarb.org.
Naperville Municipal Band Concert – 7:30PM

The Naperville Municipal Band’s free weekly summer concert is ‘Thursday Night in Central Park,’ featuring the children’s teddy bear parade. Children are encouraged to bring a favorite teddy bear to join the parade around Central Park, 104 E. Benton Ave. in Naperville. The guest artist is Thomas Bough, Director of Athletic Bands at Northern Illinois University. The concert raffle sponsor is Naperville Bank & Trust and the ice cream social sponsor is the Naperville Woman’s Club.
