Naper Nights Community Concert Series – Friday & Saturday 5PM | $10-$15

The Naper Nights Community Concert Series sets the stage for three summer weekends in June, July and August of nonstop music. The History of Rock continues this year. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy music under the stars on the beautiful grounds of Naper Settlement throughout the summer. No outside beverages are allowed. Michael McDermott and the Duke Street Kings perform music of Bruce Springsteen on Friday and opening act Deacon Blues is a tribute to Steely Dan. On Saturday, Mike and Joe will sing the greatest pop and rock hits from the ’90s to today and opening act Fortunate Sons pay a tribute to Creedence Clearwater Revival. Tickets are $15 adults, $10 youth 4-12. Free admission for members and children under 4. Tickets at www.napersettlement.org.

US Navy SR Chief Douglas Balder returned home from deployment and home only a few months when he stopped to help a disabled semi while on duty as an Illinois State Trooper. Doug was hit by the semi and was severely injured. During his recovery Doug received many blood transfusions and to pay it forward Operation Welcome You Home is sponsoring a blood drive in Doug’s name.

Step Up for Autism Walk – 8:30AM | $10-$25

Designed to raise awareness about autism, a complex developmental disability that affects an estimated 1.5 million Americans, the Step Up for Autism walk was the first of its kind to be held in Naperville. More than 1,200 participants help make the walk and fun run one of the most successful fundraising events at Little Friends. Funds raised from this annual event benefit children and adults with autism right here in our community served by Little Friends and the Little Friends Center for Autism. Iron Gate International Auto Show – 10AM
CityGate Centre – 2135 CityGate Lane Naperville, IL 60563
CityGate Centre will host a premier international auto show at its Naperville campus on Sunday, June 22. Iron Gate Motor Condos presents its competition, which will feature more than 30 categories of high-end international cars. Admission to the event is free, but donations will be accepted for Cal’s All-Star Angel Foundation, an organization supporting children with cancer and their families. Some of the auto show’s generous participants will also be granting wishes for Cal’s Angel’s kids by allowing them the opportunity to take a ride in some very special cars. The event will run from 10AM to 3PM Judging begins at noon and awards take place at 3PM. An array of automobiles from around the world will be parked by country of origin. The auto show will be held rain or shine, with covered parking garages accessible in the event of inclement weather. While at the auto show, car owners and spectators will enjoy a street fair atmosphere, complete with a number of food and beverage options including outdoor dining with a menu of summertime favorites, the ‘Not So Suburban Brunch’ at SugarToad, as well as specials at Tap In Pub and Carvery and Lavazza Espressions coffee shop. CityGate Car Show

Live Music: OMT Concerts in the Park – 7PM
May Watts Park will stage the first in the series of Concerts in the Park. OMT, a homegrown band formerly known as One More Time, will perform from 7-8:30PM Sunday. The free concert is open to the public. Frozen treats will be available for purchase.
