The Naperville Park District Board of Park Commissioners conducted annual officer elections at their regular meeting on Thursday, June 12. Commissioner Mike Reilly was elected president and Commissioner Ron Ory was elected vice president.

Additionally, Park District staff members Sue Stanish, director of finance, and Jacki Stern, executive administrative assistant, were elected as board treasurer and board secretary, respectively.

The Park District congratulates President Reilly and Vice President Ory on their election to leadership roles on the Board for the 2014-2015 year.

At the meeting, Executive Director Ray McGury expressed his appreciation on behalf of Park District staff to Immediate Past President Rich Janor and Immediate Past Vice President Mike Reilly for their service in 2013-2014.

Editor’s Note: Vice President Ron Ory said recently he will not seek re-election on the Naperville Park District Board of Commissioners when his term expires in 2015. During the 2013 Consolidated Election, commissioners for park board ran unopposed. Perhaps now is a time to consider what it takes to serve one of the 4-year terms on the board.
