This month I chose to write about how students are an integral part of the Naperville community. For starters, two high schools in the area are putting on great shows and fundraisers that everyone can appreciate.
Although Naperville Central was my biggest rival in high school, I cannot deny the talent that the students possessed. At 7PM, Thurs., March 6; and at 8 PM Fri., March 7 and Sat., March 8, NCHS will be performing its spring play, “The Foreigner.” It is a story about two men from England that come to America and get themselves into all sorts of trouble. The cost is $5 at the door. Naperville Central is located at the corner of West Street & Aurora Ave.

For people who love arts and crafts, the Waubonsie Valley High School Band Boosters are sponsoring their 9th Annual Craft Fair and Vendor Showcase, 9AM-3PM, Saturday, March 15. All the proceeds generated from this not-for-profit go to the WVHS Band Programs.
Over 70 artists, crafters, and vendors will be showcasing their talents. There also will be concessions, a bake sale and raffle. Adults are $2; Students, $1; and Children under 5 are free.

As a huge fan of the arts, I can say these fundraisers and shows are not just for the students and parents to enjoy, but for everyone. Try to attend one and see for yourself!
