Friday Night Fish Fry at the Judd Kendall VFW / 5 – 8PM / The VFW Friday Night Fish Fry will start Fri., Feb. 28, and run every Friday through Good Friday, April 18. Open to the public the family-friendly Friday Night Fish Fry runs for eight weeks serving 5-8PM.  Pricing for this year is Adults $12 ea; Seniors (65+) $10 ea; and Children (10 & under) are $7 ea. Again the VFW is partnering with Belgio’s Catering. stbaldricks6St. Baldrick’s / Naperville Public Safety hosts ‘Battle of the Badges’ / 6PM / Join the annual head-shaving event hosted by the Naperville Fire Department and the Naperville Police Department to benefit St. Baldrick’s Foundation and help raise funds for research directed at childhood cancers at the Naperville Marriott,1801 North Naper Boulevard. Now known as “Battle of the Badges,” the popular family-friendly event welcomes the community to participate. Everybody knows somebody who has been challenged by cancer.  Thanks to all who support this annual event with time, talents and donations of any size to help the local public safety groups reach their targeted goal of $75,000.

Update: March 2 / As the donations climbed, the goal was reset for $100,000.  Funds are now just shy of the target. Congrats to all.

Mardi Gras Fundraiser / 7 – 10PM / Time to collect the beads! Naperville Junior Woman’s Club is hosting a Mardi Gras party on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Aurelio’s in South Naperville to benefit Humanitarian Service Project and Naperville Safety Town. Church Service in German / 11:30AM / Church services in the German language will be held at St. John United Church of Christ at 11:30AM on Sunday, March 2.  The service will be led by Pastor Egon Gerdes, and all are welcome to attend.  St. John UCC is located at 1190 Olesen Drive in Naperville.  German services are held on the first Sunday of every month and will continue on April 6 and May 4.  For more information, call (630) 355-5208.

St. Patrick’s Residence hosts Annual St. Patrick’s Day ‘Come To Mom’s House’ Party / 11:30AM – 3PM / The Guild of St. Patrick’s Residence invites you, your family and all your friends to join us for a day of entertainment and family fun.
