The promotions are effective Feb. 1, the day Laurie Hamen, North Central College vice president for enrollment management, athletics and student affairs, begins serving as the ninth president of Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

“I am confident that Marty and Kimberly will provide exceptional leadership to their respective areas and on the College’s cabinet,” said Dr. Troy D. Hammond, North Central College President. “I am very excited to work with them.”

President Hammond’s cabinet

Sauer and Sluis join Paul Loscheider, vice president for business affairs; R. Devadoss Pandian, vice president for academic affairs and dean of faculty; and Rick Spencer, vice president for institutional advancement, as members of President Hammond’s cabinet.

Sauer, of Yorkville, earned his B.A. from Augustana College and an M.A.Ed. from Western Illinois University.
