-

Most recent greeting is posted at top. Occasionally, Greetings to PN also are linked to online stories. Many of these greetings, edited for space, will appear in the next issue of PN. Thank you for keeping greetings brief.  And thanks for sending your thoughts with your signature. We welcome them!

Cyber Scammer to PN: I hope you get this on time!!! Sorry to disturb you but i had to send this message to you due to an unforeseen circumstance that my family and i encountered.

My family and i traveled to Simferopol (UKRAINE) for a short vacation but unfortunately for us, we had an accident of which i dislocated my right arm and my head got bruised. The driver of the cab passed on due to internal bleeding and the injuries he sustained on his head. I have not been able to reach anyone due to the fact that our cell phones, credit cards and some valuable document were all missing after the accident.

Thank goodness, my family are safe, but presently in the hospital due to the injuries we sustained. i am only in a public library to reach out for help through this medium since it the only way out for us now!!!! Please kindly get back to me as you receive this message so that i can tell you how to help us out……We depend on you. —Barbara Williams, (Bogus writer)

Editor’s Note: Scammers, spammers and cyber creeps just won’t stop! Nearly every day PN receives a similar desperate cry for help, sometimes signed by familiar “names,” but always spammers/scammers. Don’t be duped via e-mail, social media or unsolicited offers on the phone. Be sure to read “Focus on Safety” by Julie Smith on Page 13. Thanks.

To PN: This concert (First at Two concerts at First Congregational United Church, 2PM Sun. Feb. 23) is free, but a free will offering will be taken. Proceeds will be going to Community Access Naperville. C.A.N. is a small non-profit founded by a group of Naperville parents to empower young adults with intellectual and development disabilities. If you aren’t aware of the outstanding work this group does, please visit www.communityaccessnaperville.org. … Invitations to the concert are going out to music teachers and music schools in the area, to music organizations, and to retirement communities and area churches. Mention of it in PositivelyNaperville could not be more appropriate. Thank you very much again for your consideration. —Patricia Swindle, www.loveandjustice.org/
