Starting off the New Year, the Naperville Exchange Club will distribute $548,000 in grants to Naperville-area nonprofits for their community projects to eliminate child abuse and domestic violence.
After reviewing more than 90 projects, the Allocations Committee identified 52 groups to be included in this year’s allocation generated from the proceeds of 2013 Ribfest.
Chartered in 1987, the Exchange Club will have donated more than $14 million to local agencies, primarily to fight child abuse and domestic violence–and thanks mostly to Ribfest.
Since 1989, Ribfest has been run by members of the Exchange Club in cooperation with its partners including the City of Naperville and the Naperville Park District. Today the club’s signature fundraiser is coordinated by the 140-member club with more than 4,000 volunteers and hundreds of sponsors in support the event presented in conjunction with the 4th of July weekend.

If you’ve been thinking about joining a volunteer service organization, now is the time to join the Exchange Club of Naperville. The National Exchange Club once again is offering a free 90-day membership trial called “Stand Up America.”
Any individual who joins the Exchange Club of Naperville between the dates of January 1 – March 31, 2014, will not have to pay National or Club dues for 90 days. This trial offer will give the prospective member an opportunity to meet the members and learn what Exchange is all about.
