
With the Rotary Club of Naperville/Sunrise holiday display of Naper Lights still bright in recent memories, an inaugural event when the gazebo in Central Park served as a warming place where visitors could enjoy hot chocolate, the Naperville Municipal Band is preparing for its summer concert season that kicks off of June 5.
The Naperville Municipal Band is now accepting application letters for ice cream social sponsors for the band concerts in Central Park this summer. Concerts are held at 7:30PM on Thursdays from June 5 through Aug. 14, except for the Patriotic concert, which will be held on Wed., July 2.
Any nonprofit organization serving the Naperville community is eligible to apply.
Because of new regulations of the Naperville Park District and the DuPage County Health Department, all goods need to be store-bought rather than homemade.
Apply by March 3, 2014

The applicant’s letter should include the organization’s name, a brief explanation of its purpose, in addition to the name, address and telephone number of the organization’s president or ice cream social chairperson. Application letters must be received by Monday, March 3, 2014, to be eligible for the lottery.
