My next dining experience took me to a place around the corner from my house called “Your Neighbors.”
Your Neighbors is located at 931 W. 75th Street, Suite 173 in Naperville. Your Neighbors has been in Naperville for more than 30 years.
The neighborhood eatery offers spirits and great home-style food in a very relaxed atmosphere. The wait staff is also very friendly, prompt and makes you feel right at home. Your Neighbors is a great place to watch the Bears games. On Bears game days, they have $1 sliders during the game.
My mom and I went in on a Saturday and there were plenty of college football games on to keep us entertained!
For starters, we ordered the homemade lightly-battered onion rings and grande nachos. The onion rings were cooked to perfection–not too crisp and the onion was piping hot. The nachos were very flavorful and had salsa, sour cream, jalapenos, loaded with melted Colby cheese, their famous chili, shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes.
The appetizers could have been a meal in itself. I knew, though, it could not be for me this time.
For my main course, I had the bacon cheeseburger—cooked to perfection and very juicy. I had a side of french fries, extra crispy mmm mmm good!
My mom had the patty melt, which is melted Swiss cheese and grilled onions over their 7 oz. hamburger on grilled rye bread. She said it was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. My mom is an expert when it comes to patty melts. She said by far this one rated among her favorites.
All sandwiches are served with a pickle, slaw and chips. Also, their fresh ground chuck is delivered daily from Casey’s meat market which is another one of my favorites!
