Edward’s Healing Arts program taps into the power of music and artwork to help patients feel relaxed and more comfortable during their hospital stay.

Professional musicians – including violinists, harpists, and classical guitarists–perform in hallways and lobbies to create a relaxing environment for patients. Many hallways throughout the hospital are used as rotating art galleries, showcasing artwork and photography created by local artists.

“The goal of art in health care is to afford our patients a momentary vacation, a way to escape the heartache, pain and difficult realities of what they may be facing,” said Candace Olander, Coordinator of the Healing Arts program.

Anyone wishing to donate an item, gift basket, or service for the raffle can contact Sue at (630) 514-3971 or Sue@ColbertCF.com. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the door. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to the Healing Arts Program.

Colbert Custom Framing & Art Printing is located at 1283 S. Naper Blvd. in Market Meadows Plaza on the northwest corner of 75th St. and Naper Blvd. For more info, call (630) 717-1448.
